Bait Boat Review:

My Rating 90 out of 100.

This boat boat is a little cracker and is very popular with a lot of carp anglers. It has 4 LED lights with a brightness adjuster which gives you better indication and control in the dark and poor weather conditions. As mentioned above it has two drive motors with superior steering and twin reversible drives. This gives the boat excellent handling in any conditions.

Having the drive motors instead of the propellers makes it less likely for it to be caught up in weed which is a big advantage and makes it more appealing to a lot of carp anglers. It’s made from high strength acrylic which makes it even lighter on the water. The electrical components are completely waterproof. It weighs just 2.75kg including battery which makes it one of the lightest bait boats on the market.

The downside with this bait boat is that it only has a bait capacity of 075kg and the range is less than a lot of other bait boats. Which means that it’s OK for UK waters but not really ideal when fishing on the continent where the carp are bigger and a lot more bait is used.

The hand controls are very easy to use.  Left toggle is forward and reverse. Right toggle is left and right controls. To release the bait you simply push back on the left hand toggle; then push the right hand toggle to the right.

This bait boat is designed for larger waters both in the UK and on the continent. It’s a little boat, but with a big engine and is heavy duty to withstand any weather conditions that is chucked at it!

This pocket battleship as it’s known has excellent handling and speed with pinpoint accuracy to get you to those distant hotspots with minimal fuss. The Delta bait boat is also known for its excellent battery life with over 2 hours at maximum speed which is ideal for larger waters.

It also has brilliant set of front lights which means visibility at night and in poor weather conditions is not an issue like it is with some other bait boats. Also it can be seen easily at long range.

This bait boat for me is mainly for fishing overseas on larger waters. With it’s long battery life, large bait capacity at 1.5kg, excellent range at over 400m and its jet powered engines means it has excellent handling and speed when required.

In my view if you intend to fish just UK waters there are better bait boats on the market that are cheaper, including the two previous boats on my reviews.

Bait Boat Review:

My Rating 90 out of 100.
4.5 Stars

This bait boat is totally reliable and is really simple to use which makes it a very popular with a lot of carp anglers. The Viper Legacy was designed to bridge the gap between the compact Icon MK3 and the huge X-Range.

It’s capable of handling small and large continental waters. The boat has a large 8 kilo hopper capable of dropping large amounts of bait. Powered by twin jets means it has great handling and the boat is light enough in weight to give you great manoeuvrability across the water.

It features a small spot light at the front of the boat with Red and Green LED’s on the sides of the boat. It also has Blue LED’s on the rear of the boat. I think it’s safe to say that you’ll never lose sight of your Viper bait boat.

It has a 2.4GHz handset where the unique door release switch can be found so there can be no errors with releasing the bait like on some other bait boats where you have to use both toggles to activate the bait drop. The lights can also be turned on or off via a toggle switch on the boat.

Even though this is quite a pricey bait boat, I think if you’re really serious about you’re carp fishing and you use bait boats on a regular basis then the Viper Legacy bait boat is a great buy. Although I do think that most Viper models are more geared to larger continental waters.
