Hey everyone,

I’m Ade and I’m currently 38 years old. I have been into fishing big time from an early age, especially Carp Fishing.

Fishing for carp has been a passion of mine since I was about 12 years old when I hooked into my first carp, down my local duck pond!

It was a 6lb Mirror Carp caught on float fished bread. I’ll never forget the fight it gave me, it nearly ripped the rod out of my hand. But I also remember the excitement and buzz it gave me!

From then on I think it’s fair to say that I’ve had the carp bug ever since. I’ve been completely fascinated with catching them and probably will be for the rest of my days. I think they’re stunning fish to look at and will give you a fight that pound for pound not many other freshwater fish can match.

“Can you remember the first fish you caught…?”

Even though these days I don’t do as much fishing as I’d like, what with work and family commitments I still try and get out as much as possible because I love fishing and it’s something that I will always do. I have my Dad to thank for that! 🙂

I remember the first few times I went fishing down my local canal. This is where I caught my first fish, a roach weighing about 1lb. I was over the moon and I just remember the excitement of hooking into the fish, the same feeling I still get today!

But when you’re playing a 20lb carp, the buzz you get, it still sends my heart pounding now along with the aching arm because you’ve had a fish on for 15 minutes fighting for its life! Brilliant! I Love it!

Don’t get me wrong I don’t consider myself an expert on carp fishing but I have caught literally hundreds of carp over the years up to 30lb, all caught on a variety of different baits. Not monsters by today’s standards I know, but I’ve learnt a lot over the years which I think puts me in good stead to give you an insight into the best bait for carp fishing.

All my fish have been caught in the UK but I’m hoping soon to join the thousands of other carpers who cross over the channel every year to fish for some of the big lumps over in countries like France & Spain. Bring it on!

I’d like to give a special mention to Matt Wright who has kindly provided me with some of the photo images for this website – Cheers mate!

Further down the line….

I will continue to update my site with new posts and other interesting topics that are related to my website theme, ones which I know you’ll be interested in.

Thanks for dropping by and hope that you come back again soon! 🙂
